Since March 2011 Badass Animal Rescue, an all-breed dog rescue based in Brooklyn, has rescued over 3,000 dogs in AL, FL, GA, LA, NC, SC, TX, KY and WV and found them great forever homes. They are a 501(c)3 volunteer-run nonprofit of rescuers, fosters, and volunteers who work together to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for sweet, loving, adoptable dogs from high-kill pounds in the rural south.

We strive to find loving homes for homeless and abandoned animals, both by adopting directly to the public and by partnering with more than 200 dedicated animal placement organizations (our New Hope partners). Our field services division responds to calls from the public to help keep NYC communities safe and rescue animals in need, and we have facilities in all five boroughs.
